We provide thorough speech and language evaluations that may include receptive language (understanding), expressive language (using words and sentences), articulation and phonology, speech production, fluency, voice, and Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) needs.

All sessions are provided in a one-on-one setting and tailored to each client’s needs. Sessions typically range from 30–60 minutes, with frequency determined collaboratively with the client and/or family to best support progress and meet goals.

For clients who may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication, we provide AAC assessments, device recommendations, and treatment focused on building effective communication with low-tech and high-tech systems.

We offer secure, virtual teletherapy sessions for clients located anywhere in New York State. Online sessions follow the same individualized, goal-focused approach as in-person therapy, providing a convenient option for many families.

We believe therapy works best when it’s a team effort. That’s why we involve clients and families in every step—from setting goals to practicing strategies at home between sessions.
Coaching for Families & Caregivers
When working with children, we partner closely with parents and caregivers. After each session, we review what was targeted and share specific strategies to carry over skills at home— often through play and daily routines so practice feels natural and engaging.

Session Length, Frequency & Fees
Sessions typically range from 30–60 minutes depending on the client’s age, stamina, and goals. Together we determine how often to meet in order to best support meaningful progress.
We offer a free initial phone consultation to discuss concerns and potential next steps. Payment is due at the time of service. A superbill can be provided upon request for potential out-of-network reimbursement; however, Empower Speech Therapy cannot guarantee reimbursement from insurance companies.
